ASSM’s expertise extends from offering customised flight crew training in all aspects of crew resource and threat and error management. ASSM has also created, among other training materials, a specific course aimed at raising flight crews’ awareness of the greatest safety hazards threatening their operations. These courses can be tailored to the client’s exact needs depending on the theatre of operations. In conjunction with an associated partner consultancy, ASSM can provide investigation and analysis of aircraft accidents, in-flight fires and equipment failures, computer reconstruction of flight paths using QAR (Quick Access Recorder) and DFDR (Digital Flight Data Recorder) data, avionics and electrical power systems failure analysis, and flight crew factors. Our associated Forensic Visuals team can produce accurate aircraft performance reconstructions based on digital recorders and environmental data. These reconstructions are not only very effective aids in claims settlement and litigation resolution, but will serve as an invaluable training tool in a proactive safety management programme thereby assisting greatly in reducing losses and high-cost aviation claims.
